Send us your images

We're looking for high quality images of Rivington Terraced Gardens - past and present. If you've taken good shots, we'd love to see them.

In particular we'd love any images of the Kitchen Gardens

Do you want to give your views as the plans are delivered?

Our Friends group meets on the third Thursday of each month and works alongside the Project team at Groundwork to advise, support and promote the Terrace Gardens restoration project.  The group is open to all and keen to include wider community interests.

If you would like to learn more about the work of the Forum or enquire about taking part please contact our Development Officer Liam Roche:  liam.roche(at)groundwork.org.uk

Would you like to help us improve the Gardens?

As our project takes shape, we will be looking for many people to get involved with the Gardens. We have launched a Volunteer Ranger programme to encourage participation.  Activities include:

  • Practical work like woodland management, habitat conservation, archaeology, heritage conservation etc.
  • Helping us with research, such as uncovering the heritage of the gardens
  • Taking photos or video of people working to improve the Gardens
  • Helping out on open days e.g. schools and group visits
  • Helping show visitors round the gardens by being a voluntary ranger or leading guided walks
  • Creating leaflets, putting together exhibitions, maintaining websites and social media
  • Giving your views and input on improvements to the Gardens

During Spring 2017 we will also be recruiting for our Youth Ranger programme.

We want people  to show their support and be kept informed of progress of the project and events on the ground etc. Find us on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/RivingtonTG
