By car

Please be considerate of our neighbours in Rivington Village when driving to the Gardens and park considerately.

If travelling by motorway, exit the M61 at junction 6 and follow the signs for Bolton along the A6027. At the Beehive roundabout, bear left onto the A673 following the directional signs for Chorley for approximately 2 miles. At the Crown Hotel, proceed past the mini roundabout, and continue along the A673.  Lever Park Avenue can become very busy at weekends and during the school holidays, so we advise against accessing the Gardens via this route.

Follow the A673 for approximately 1 mile, then turn right at the Millstone pub onto Rivington Lane (unsigned).  Follow this past the Anderton Centre and turn right onto Horrobin Lane.  Please observe the "20" signs in Rivington Village, and turn slight left onto Sheep House Lane just before the village green. Follow Sheep House lane until you see a sign for parking to the right, and the car park is just along that road.  from there you can access (on foot) Roytnon Lane, through the middle of the Gardens, or Belmont Road, up to the top.

Nearest postcode for sat nav purposes: BL6 7RZ (note, this is not the exact parking spot!). Map of the area shown below.
